Youth Worker Vacancies


 

If so this opportunity could be for you! We're looking for 3 Youth Work Coordinators to join our team.



Youth Worker:  With key responsibility for Activities for years 9+

Fixed term contract from 1st September 2018 to 31st July 2019 (extension subject to funding)

16 hours per week all year around (could be 18hrs pw TT & 10hrs pw during holidays)

Salary £11.60ph (£22,378FTE)


As part of a team approach you will be specifically responsible for running our provision for Yr9 and above. You will be required to work two evening clubs and two after school sessions per week. After School runs Mon - Fri for 2 hours each day and the evening clubs are on a Tuesday and Friday between 6:30pm-8pm. You will also be involved in supporting our day time inclusion programmes for one day a week.  We are looking for someone who is flexible and has a strong team spirit. You will have the enthusiasm to be involved in the delivery and planning of an exciting and varied programme of activities, but also have the ability to be a listening ear and mentor for young people when required.


Youth Worker:  With key responsibility for Targeted Schools Work

Fixed term contract from 1st September 2018 to 31st March 2019 (extension subject to funding)

16 hours per week all year around (could be 18hrs pw TT & 10hrs pw during holidays)

Salary £11.60ph (£22,378FTE)


Your role will be taking responsibility for our schools work on our Young Carers and special needs projects. You will be required to work three evening clubs per week.  Our clubs for those with Autism and other additional needs are on Monday evenings 5:30-7pm and 7:30-9pm. The Young Carers evening clubs are on a Thursday evening between 6-8:30pm. You would also work in the schools across East Hants supporting Young Carers in school, and when required increasing awareness of our targeted work projects. We are looking for someone who is flexible and has a strong team spirit. You will have the enthusiasm to work with young people whether in a club setting or a support role in school.  You will have the ability to take the lead on building the relationships and developing the support in the local schools.


Youth Worker:  With key responsibility for Open Access Schools Work

Fixed term contract from 1st September 2018 to 31st July 2019 (extension subject to funding)

16 hours per week all year around (could be 18hrs pw TT & 10hrs pw during holidays)

Salary £11.60ph (£22,378FTE)


Your role will be taking responsibility for our schools work within our Open Access Programme.  You will be required to work two after school sessions per week (This would probably be Tues and Thurs for the first term). The role would be delivering our schools programmes during the day either at the centre or in the school as well as working with the local schools to increase awareness of and develop our schools work. We are looking for someone who is flexible and has a strong team spirit. You will have the enthusiasm to work with young people whether in a club setting or delivering programmes.  You will have the ability to take the lead on building the relationships with and developing our provision to the local schools.




For any of these jobs, there may be the possibility for additional hours during term time.

You will have at least two years of experience working with young people and co-ordinating projects.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 19th July 2018.

There will be a two part interview process with stage one on either Monday 23rd/Tuesday 24th July 2018.

Stage two will be formal interview for those shortlisted candidates on Wednesday 25th July 2018.
