Hey guys, welcome to our new blog. These posts are going to be used to stay in contact with all of you. We will be uploading loads of stuff like funny clips, daily updates and maybe some challenges for you to do at home. Ben is going to tell you more!
Thought for the day with Ben
Having a Laugh with Martha
They say that laughter is the best medicine so we thought that over the next two weeks we would post a few funny YouTube clips we had seen that I thought were funny. What do you think?
If you don't agree then perhaps you need to send me some links to better options. Send to Martha@thekingsarms.org.uk.
So here are my funny videos today to help distract you and bring some light relief.
Keeping Calm with Charlie
A great suggestion to help with our mental health is each day to set achievable goals. We've created an example of a sheet you could make to fill in each day. It feels great to be able to 'tick - done that!' and you can see what you've achieved! Why not have a go yourself - put on there fun things as well as things that need to get done like homework. But don't forget to make it an achievable amount for the day.
Here is an example of what you could do for setting your daily goals.
Getting inspired with Larisa
So we thought that in a time when everyone is talking about the spread of Coronavirus and isolation, we could bring some moments of inspiration and thoughts about the goodness of humankind.
Love, love, love this video!
Can you help spread the infection of kindness?
Enjoy the video...
Keeping active with Sarah
Keeping active is really important, whether you are having to self isolate or you are just spending a lot more time at home. We are sharing a daily dose of easy and fun exercises for you to have a go at. Here is the first one, especially for any wannabe Anthony Joshuas!
25 Minute no equipment cardio boxing workout.
Let us know how far you get.
Being Creative with Mandy
At the King's Arms we love coming up with new creative things for you guys to do, so we thought it would be good to give you some ideas.
Here is a popular craft activity we do at the King's Arms so that you can try it at home, either on your own or with your family.
It is quite easy to follow and there aren't too many things you need to make it.
We hope you enjoy and if you make these at home, take a picture and email it to Mandy at email@example.com
We hope you guys are all well and keeping safe at home and we hope that our blog can keep you entertained and give you some ideas of what you can be doing whilst you are at home. Lots of these things can be done on your own, but they can also be done with your family or whoever you live with. You could even try video calling your friends and family who don't live with you as to get them to join in too or to show them what you have been doing.
We would love to hear from you guys what you get up to, if you enjoy the content and if you have any suggestions for what we could put on these blogs in the future.
Thank you for reading,
Love the KA team x
