Chilling out after the challenges of school is what the After School Club is all about. Young people aged 11 – 18 years are welcome to the club which is free and is on during term time for a couple of hours after school - COVID permitting!
The recent COVID-19 lockdown has meant that we can no longer offer a "drop-in" provision to our Youth Centres, however, you can still get involved. We run a number of zoom sessions where we hang out, play games, have fun and talk about anything that may be on your mind. We'd love to see you.
You can also find quizzes, challenges and funny content on Instagram: @ka_athome.
What can you expect once our centres are reopened?
We have two Youth Centres, one in Alton and one in Petersfield, both of which offer a safe, fun environment to chill out with your mates, perhaps over a game of pool, table tennis or air hockey. We also have an xbox and our Youth Workers are never short on game, craft or activity ideas.
Each month our activities and games are linked by a common theme encouraging young people to have fun and create friendships whilst bringing an important subject to their attention. Some of the topics we have covered in the past are climate change, staying safe, positive mental health, healthy eating and setting goals.
In the summer, we run Holiday Hangouts, and Level Up which is a transition programme aimed at those moving into Year 7.
Our Youth Workers are also on hand to provide support and a listening ear to any young person. Maybe you would like to discuss something that is happening in your life at the moment?
Whilst our centres are closed, just click the red "Let's Chat" button at the bottom right of the screen and leave us a message. One of our Youth Workers will then be in touch.
