What is required of the volunteer:

To interact with young people and enable them to have fun, form healthy relationships and, if needed, find an adult to talk to after-school.

You may be asked to prepare resources for an after-school or help with food/drink preparation as well as some cleaning and tidying after a session
What will the volunteer gain in return?

After-school is always lots of fun with a loyal group of regular young people who you will get to know and enjoy spending time with, which is always rewarding. You will feel part of a team making a difference in people’s lives.

What skills the person would have:

Good communication skills, an ability to relate to young people. An ability to remain non-judgmental. Basic food/drink preparation. Anyone with skills in a craft or hobby that can be shared is also always great!
What interests the volunteer might have:

Games/gaming/music/popular culture.

An interest in the lives of young people is a must.
